'The Voice' Finalist MaKenzie Thomas Gets Married — Watch Their Adorable Love Story - Talent Recap

Makenzie Thomas who was a fan-favorite on season 15 of The Voice recently got married! The singer and her husband Jacques Williams tied the knot on October 3rd, 2020 and just shared their stunning wedding photos.

‘The Voice’ Alum MaKenzie Thomas Recently Got Married

“Here’s a quick little peak into #ourweddingday! Hope you enjoy!!!! Shoutout to @twooldsoulsphoto and @samwelch93and her momma for the photos and cake and cupcakes!” MaKenzie wrote on Instagram. “Y’all helped make this night special! Shoutout to everyone who helped and was a part of this day! @jacques.williams___ love and appreciate all! Keep an eye out for our wedding video!!!” In the photos, the bride and groom posed together and looked happier than ever. In another stunning picture, MaKenzie shed some tears as she read her vows.

The wedding had a purple color scheme with purple tablecloths, napkins and stunning floral arrangements on each table of the reception space. The bridesmaid’s dresses were different shades of purple and the cake had gorgeous purple fondant roses on it.

Back in October after the wedding, MaKezie posted a picture of the ceremony. Some guests wore face masks amid the coronavirus pandemic. “What an amazing experience! Of course, knowing my luck I got sick the day before and am still recovering but it was amazing nevertheless!” she wrote on Instagram. “I’m officially Mrs. MaKenzie Williams!!! How crazy is that?!?! Thanks to everyone for coming, the well wishes, gifts and prayers!!!! Thank you cards are being made soon! We appreciate you all!!!!”

MaKenzie Was A Standout On Season 15 Of The Hit NBC Show

MaKenzie auditioned for The Voice the first time around singing Childish Gambino’s “Redbone.” She had laryngitis at the time and none of the coaches turned their chairs for her. MaKenzie got to go back and audition a year later in season 15. This time she landed on Jennifer Hudson’s team and truly made a name for herself on the show. MaKenzie even brought guest mentor Mariah Carey to tears during rehearsals for The Knockouts.

She sang “How Deep is Your Love” by the Bee Gees and truly made it her own. She was a huge fan-favorite during this season. So much so that everyone was devastated when she failed to make it to the top four. They believed that a typo was the reason MaKenzie did not get enough votes in The Voice save to make it to the finale.

Though many feel like MaKenzie was robbed on The Voice, she has continued to pursue music as a career and uploads frequently to her YouTube channel. This year she has had over 627,700 streams on Spotify of her music in 90 countries.
